  • Certified written translation (English/Arabic/ Sudanese (Juba Arabic)
    Sudanese (Juba) Arabic is not Standard Arabic, although written with Arabic letters and characters. They are completely different languages. Sudanese (Juba) Arabic is spoken throughout Sudan (especially in southern Sudan) and has been heavily influenced by the various African languages that are also widely used in Sudan. It has come out as a result of Afro-ethnic tribes (like Dinka and Nuer) in southern Sudan trying to speak Arabic in the northern part of Sudan. It is loose and doesn’t adhere to grammatical rules. Sudanese (Juba) Arabic forms the basis of a pidgin that is used as a lingua franca in southern Sudan, though most speakers of this variety will have another language, like Dinka and Nuer, as their first language.

To make the Cultural Engagement happen, Mutaz can provide the following services to organizations and communities from CALD backgrounds:

  • Conduct interviews and surveys, including communication planning, translation, editing, localization and adaptation of the survey, ensuring communications in relation to the survey are informative and culturally suitable
  • Provide cultural support to staff engagement in cultural initiatives, programs and events, by leading consultation processes and focus group activities to identify the feasibility of options, to achieve engagement and cultural objectives
  • Act as cultural reference and advisor to government agencies and community organizations to identify the feasibility and cultural suitability of initiatives, programs, documents and media contents. 

Media Coordination

In today’s world, media plays an outstanding role in creating and shaping of public opinion and strengthening of society. Many aspects of our daily lives are now structured and informed by media, including politics, economics, arts and our collective memories. Our prolific engagement with many types of digital and written media channels gives rise to the need to understand and analyze audio-visual discourse across all media platforms.
